Our volunteers are the heart and soul of our organisation. They are whats keeps us going, laughing in stitches, restores our faith in humanity and makes the SWBRM events happen every year. Without our dedicated team of volunteers, SWBRM would cease to exist. Thank you so so much for the gift of your precious time. The unfortunate thing about a thriving fundraiser, is that every year, our event continues to grow and that’s where you come in.

Volunteering with SWBRM is more than just parking cars. It’s an opportunity to meet new people, learn new skills and discover connections in your local community in ways you never thought possible.

2024 Volunteer Roles:

Site Team: (Pack down & set up) including vendor bump in/out.
Work under the direction of our Site Coordinators to ensure the festival site looks perfect before attendees arrive.
Setting up marquees, signage, tables and chairs, traffic/parking barriers and picking up and distributing equipment.
Set up: 7am-10am, pack down from 3pm.

Car team: - Traffic Marshaling: Working under the direction of the Car show team leader. Directing stallholders and classic car show entrants to their relevant sites as well as parking and traffic management. Prior to, during and after event.

Promotions team: Helping run and supervise a variety of activities and competitions, including explaining basic directions relevant to the activity area, merchandise and raffle sales. Some activities include money handling and/or use of a “tap and go” EFTPOS square and basic customer service skills.

Ticketers: Counting and checking (In some cases selling) tickets to patrons and car owners.

General volunteers: Runners, activities, cleaners and fixers. Got a special skill or two? Let us know.
